Internships
i) A three-day internship program was conducted for the ‘performance evaluation of Water Metro, Kochi’ in collaboration with NATPAC for the final year students on 7th, 8th and 10th March 2022.
ii) A three-day internship program was conducted for the ‘DPR preparation of integrated development of coastal highways with cycle track in Alappuzha’ in collaboration with NATPAC for the final year students from 28th September 2021 to 1st October 2021.
iii) An internship program was conducted for the final year and third year students for the ‘Geo-spatial mapping of Aluva Municipality using OSM’ in collaboration with the KSITM, GoK from 11th October 2021 to 30th December 2021.
iv) Five days internship on total station survey, including advanced study on LIDAR, robotic survey, GPS positioning system, post processing of survey data in system was given to fifth semester students by ALG International Institute of Technology from 24th July 2019 to 30th July 2019. Students have done the topographic survey of KMEA campus and plotted the same.
v) One day internship was given to the students of third semester on ‘Basic Construction Management, Drawing Study, Area Calculation and Section Development’ by TREE INSTITUTE OF CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT (TICMAT) on July 30, 2019. Students were trained how to read a civil engineering drawing, to calculate area of building and section development. They were also given basic knowledge in construction management.
vi) A three-day Internship program on ‘Total Station Survey’ by ALG International Institute of Technology for the fifth semester students on 9th, 12th and 13th July 2018. The sessions were handled by Mr. Yousef Rihas, Mr.Vishnu K.C, Mr. Joseph Antony, Mr. Prabhakar, Mr. Sameel K.S, Mr. Binil, Mr. Sonu , Mr.Akshay G.
vii) An Eight-day Internship program on ‘Quantity Surveying’ by Vettoor School of Technical training for the final year students from 9th July 2018 to 21st July 2018.The different sessions on Project management, Estimation and safety procedures along with site visits were handled by Ms. Rakhi R and Ms. Reeba Suresh.
viii) One-day Internship program on ‘CAD, BIM & FUSION 360’ by Tritech Design Academy for the third semester students on 9th July 2018. The sessions were handled by Ms.Athira Aneesh, Mr.Joemon John , Ms.Jomise Jose and Mr.Arun Joy.
MOU's
Department of Civil Engineering has signed MoU with the following institutions:

The department of Civil Engineering of KMEA ENGINEERING College has signed the Memorandum of Understanding with ABAD Builders since 17th February 2017. The general purpose of this MOU is to facilitate industry and research co- operation between the parties based upon the principles of mutual benefit.

MOU was signed with Tree Institute of Construction Management and Technology on 8th July 2020 for training our students to make them industry ready with insight into the latest trends and technologies in the construction field.

We have entered the MOU on 8th March 2021 with ALG International Institute of Technology who is able to provide our students with advanced technology and techniques in modern surveying and GIS.

The department has signed the memorandum of understanding with Intercad systems Pvt Ltd on 8th July 2020 as part of our civil engineering software training programmes and initiatives.

A campus agreement was signed with CYPE on 12.08.2021. The aim of this agreement is to provide Department of Civil Engineering, KMEA Engineering College and all students enrolled on courses related to building projects with software tools and a platform for academic or research use, which will improve their competitiveness when carrying out these projects.

An agreement was signed between Kerala State IT Mission and the department of Civil Engineering, KMEA Engineering College for the execution of open street map based Geospatial mapping works of the urban local bodies.

This Memorandum of Understanding was signed on 2nd September 2021 with Green Sustain Waste Management Company. This collaboration is intended to educate and train the youth on the need for waste management, environmental remediation and conversion of waste problems into Green energy solutions.
