The Central Library

The Central Library has a well-equipped collection of books, project reports, seminar reports, back volumes of journals, CD ROMs and e-resources of all engineering subject areas. The book collection has prominent text books, supplementary reading materials and reference books. The library aims to develop a comprehensive collection of documents useful for researchers, the faculty and the student community.

The Central Library is located in the PSTA Block of the College and is spread over two floors of 800 sq m. area. It has a separate reference section, issue cum reading room, periodical section, Book bank, Digital Library, Internet and PG section.

The operations of the library are fully computerised with KOHA Library software. The database of books available in the library is being updated on day-to-day basis with details of the acquired books. The Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) is connected to LAN which enables users to access databases of library resources. The library provides IP enabled access to a large number of full text on line journal databases from the various publishers.

The reading area in the library has been WI-Fi enabled to provide wireless access to the Internet. Users are welcome to use their laptops in the library. 10 PC are meant for users to access databases, e-books, e-journals and other e-resources.

Digital Depository

DSpace is used as the institutional digital repository. It consists of a good collection of conference proceedings, seminar/project reports, previous year’s university question papers, e-books and other reference material. Use the link- http:// dspace.kmeacollege.ac.in

MIT OpenCourseWare (OCW)

MIT OpenCourseWare (OCW) is a web-based publication of virtually all MIT course content. OCW is open and available to the world and is a permanent MIT activity. To access the OCW you can use the link. http:// mit-ocw.kmeacollege.ac.in

Book Bank Scheme

The members will be issued one standard book in each subject for use in an entire semester is also operating in the library.
